My birthday is today, and instead of gifts this year, I’m asking for help getting my car safe and ready for winter.
First, thank you. To everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way — your kindness, prayers, and support have meant more than I can fully express.
I’m a student at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, working toward my education and career goals, and having a car I can count on is what gets me to class, to work, and everywhere else I need to be.
Earlier this year, I had my 2013 Hyundai Accent professionally assessed and got a second opinion to make sure I understood exactly what it needs. The list includes the brakes and suspension, all four tires, routine maintenance, the complete front bumper assembly, and a damaged side mirror. The tires especially need to be dependable enough to handle Kansas City winters and hold up year-round.
I’m hoping to raise $8,000 to cover parts and labor, winter-capable tires, taxes and fees, and any additional safety issues that come up once the repairs are underway.
