On 2/22/25 Luke Henry Preisinger was born at 5:55 AM. He quickly went into respiratory distress and was found to have a pulmonary hemorrhage and Meconium aspiration.
He was in very critical shape. Oxygen SAT were as low as the upper 40’s at times.
At just around 4 hours old, he was intubated and airlifted to Orlando hospital.
Due to the amazing work of the flight medics and neonate nurses and physicians, they were able stabilize him where he was put on an ECMO machine (a form of ultimate life support).
About one week has passed and thanks to the help of everyone involved, Luke is recovering nicely. He still has a long way to go but things are looking up.
While we are lucky enough to have insurance, Luke was seen by many physicians, some of which were out of network. So, we decided to make our first and only “GoFundMe” account if anyone is able to help with the inevitable hospital bills.
We have received so much help from everyone to even get this far and we appreciate everyone who has reached out to us. Thank you very much and for the continued prayers for Luke’s recovery.
