On June 20 ,2022 Camille was taken to a local hospital because she was complaining of her tummy hurting and she also had a big bulge in her tummy thapt extended from the top of her right abdomen to her lower right abdomen that had popped up just a few weeks prior. The hospital told us that she had some hard stool that she needed to pass and sent baby girl and I home. We spent the next 2 days giving her miralax and laxative to make her pass it but to no avail the lump would move. We then decided on June 22, 2022 to take her to Levine children's Hospital for a second opinion. We got there and thing quickly turned. She was seen by one ER Dr and she did an exam and went and found a ultrasound machine and did an ultrasound and she then called her supervisoring Dr in, The supervisoring Dr did an exam and order a formal utlrasound and she said she was doing blood work, she then called her supervisoring Dr in, that supervising Dr did an exam and then told us after the ultrasound and blood work we were staying and it might be a while before we left. When we got upstairs to our inpatient room the evening Dr and nurses about in tears broke the new to us that our 3 year old baby girl had a mass in her liver, that they strongly believed might be cancerous. Those words turned our lives upside down. Since then she has had 3 ct scans, 3 ultrasounds and 3 x-rays and 2 surgeries one to put in a port and do a biopsy of the liver and the other to move the port because it moved down toward her heart and could stay there. But throughout this whole process God has had his hand in the whole thing and been right here with us. We will need help with medical expenses as I will not be working to take Camille to weekly chemo appointment we are believing God will heal her.
