My family and I are heartbroken to share that my mom, Luz, passed away yesterday and has gone home to be with Jesus. She was devoted to Him with her whole heart — her faith guided every part of her life and remained unshakable all the way to the end.
Luz lived her life for her husband, Pedro, and her three children: Vanessa, Carlos, and Christina. She loved each of us fiercely and prayed for us daily. She also had a special place in her heart for her dogs — Luna, Brownie, Chaparro, Princess, Rambo, and Ollie — who brought her comfort, joy, and companionship throughout her life.
Her kindness, her steady spirit, and her compassion touched everyone who knew her. She gave so much of herself to others, always with grace, humility, and love.
As we walk through this sudden and painful loss, we are also facing the financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses. We want to honor Luz in a way that reflects her devotion to Jesus, her love for Pedro and her children, and the beautiful life she lived, but the costs are more than we can manage alone.
