I was recently diagnosed with invasive lobular breast cancer. I am scheduled on September 16 for a lumpectomy, as well as a sentinel lymph node biopsy from my armpit. There is a small possibility that I will need chemo. Once healed from surgery, I will then receive 30 days of radiation. I am currently taking an estrogen blocker that has caused me to feel poorly. I am a warrior, (aka badass) and I will survive this. I am pushing through, and my community has been amazing at showing me so much love and support.
I run a small local yoga and movement studio, and am a bread winner for my family (along with my husband who also works). I will not be able to work for several weeks, potentially more. The medical bills are piling up, and many people in my community have been asking what is the best way to support me. It's hard to ask for financial help, but our reality is that that is what is needed. Any amount helps. With humility and great appreciation, we thank you for any support you can provide.
