Help Polo’s Sister Rebuild Her Life After Losing Her Leg
On November 22, 2025, a devastating accident changed everything for a loving mother of two, Griselda Manjarrez.
While riding her motorcycle to work, she was struck by a car that ran a red light. The impact caused severe injuries to her leg. Doctors fought to save it, performing surgery and placing screws in hopes of restoring it, but complications arose. Because she suffers from diabetes, an infection set in and her body could not heal.
In the end, doctors were left with no choice but to amputate her leg.
She is only 38 years old.
She is now facing life as an amputee in Mexico, with very limited financial resources and little support. More than anything, she is a mother, raising two children, ages 16 and 18, on her own. Overnight, her ability to work, care for her family, and live independently has been deeply impacted.
Her road ahead will not be easy, but there is hope.
A prosthetic leg would give her the chance to walk again, regain independence, and continue being there for her children in the way she has always fought to be. Unfortunately, the cost is far beyond what she can afford.

El 22 de noviembre de 2025, un trágico accidente cambió la vida de una madre luchadora para siempre.
Mientras transitaba en su motocicleta, un automóvil se pasó la luz roja y la impactó, causándole una fractura severa en la pierna. Los médicos hicieron todo lo posible por salvarla, colocándole tornillos con la esperanza de reconstruirla. Sin embargo, debido a que padece diabetes, se presentó una infección grave y su cuerpo no logró sanar.
Lamentablemente, los médicos tuvieron que amputarle la pierna.
Ella tiene solo 38 años.
Hoy enfrenta la vida como una persona amputada en México, con recursos muy limitados y sin apoyo suficiente. Pero, sobre todo, es madre de dos hijos—uno de 16 años y otro de 18—a quienes ha sacado adelante prácticamente sola.
Este cambio repentino ha afectado profundamente su capacidad para trabajar, cuidar de su familia y mantener su independencia.
A pesar de todo, aún hay esperanza.
Una prótesis le daría la oportunidad de volver a caminar, recuperar su independencia y seguir siendo el pilar para sus hijos. Sin embargo, el costo de una prótesis está muy por encima de lo que ella puede pagar.
