I am a single mother of one. I recently beat stage 4 breast cancer and am just trying to get back on my feet. I sold my car to a friend that finance auto loan was transferred to in order to pay my rent. It was one or the other, having a car or a roof over our heads. I was eventually forced to resign from my job during chemotherapy, as the hours for each were at the same time of day along with a decline of health, both got in the way of being able to continue to work. I am currently, for the last two years, just trying to get back on my feet, slowly. I have had minimum wage jobs as they're the first to hire me. I am behind on rent and having to move back in with my mother. I am working on receiving a grant for trade school, which the goal is to start this September. I plan on taking a 12 week course for a Medical Clinical Administrative Assistant Certification. I need a vehicle, to expand the miles am able to travel in my job search. Being able to work and go to trade school, both at the same time is crucial. I am hoping to raise funds to help in buying a used inexpensive but reliable vehicle. My daughter also starts Stony Brook University College this month and want to be able to take her to school while she finishes to save up to finance her dream car and maybe even help her in doing so financially if I can work and get into a good paying career by the end of this year. Anything would be great appreciated.
