On Saturday night, Travis Good was helping fight a wildfire north of Ingomar, Montana, when rapidly changing winds caused the fire to change direction without warning.
In the midst of the chaos, Travis’s courage and quick actions saved Robert Newman’s life. While they both got to safety, Travis suffered serious burn injuries himself.
Travis sustained third-degree burns to both hands along with burns to his left and right lower arms. He is undergoing daily burn debridement, an incredibly painful but necessary part of his treatment.
Doctors are closely monitoring significant swelling in his hands while working to manage his pain and prevent further complications.
Although Travis would never ask for help, the road ahead will be long.
Travis risked everything to save another person’s life. Now, let’s come together to help carry him through his own journey of healing.
