To be this young and so selfless and giving is truly amazing.
Kyla, a Senior at CHS started Care Packages by Kyla when she was a junior, and what she's doing for our community is incredible.
She fills waterproof backpacks with essentials like:
Socks, body wipes, food and snacks, personal hygiene items, first aid kits, gloves, scarves, mittens for the winter and special bags for women with needed products.
These backpacks are made possible through donations from our community, along with help from family and friends.
Her backpacks are carried and distributed by MontgomeryCounty Sheriff's Office, Canajoharie & Fort Plain Police Departments and you may also find them at the Berean Bean in Canajoharie.
Kyla has even responded to messages and personally helped when people reach out in need. That kind of dedication if very rare.
This is such an important reminder - there are more people in need in our area than we realize.
