Ahmed (name has been changed at his request because he fears reprisals from the Talian) was living in a house in Afghanistan. When the Taliban used the vacated house next door to take refuge, his home was destroyed in the crossfire (see pics of his house in the aftermath)
The house Ahmed lived in was his only asset. He had purchased it with money that he had made working for an NGO. Ahmed is now homeless and is in hiding in a rural area from the Taliban.
As Ahmed worked for a Christian NGO, he fears he may be a target of the Taliban. As such, he qualifies for a P-2 Visa to come to the United States. He is separated from his family for their safety. For all intents and purposes, Ahmed is homeless, bereft, and alone.
This fundraiser is to help Ahmed acquire the funds he needs to complete any VISA applications and assist him in resettlement costs. All money raised will go to Ahmed. Every donation is appreciated, no matter the amount.
