⚠️I APOLOGIZE THAT THIS IS LONG BUT STICK WITH ME I WANT TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS CLEAR ON WHERE YOUR DONATION IS GOING. I am a counselor at a non-profit domestic violence agency in Erie PA, I have been battling kidney disease for 14 years, I was diagnosed with end stage renal failure at 16 and went on dialysis right away. I did well for a long time on dialysis, I was able to attend school, get married, I adopted a child at 19 and I have a full time job that I absolutely love ❤️. For a long time due to my age I did very well on treatment but due to the amount of time I've been on treatment my body is starting to fail in other ways as dialysis is very hard on the body. I have heart disease now and my fistula is held together by stents and rubber bands. Every few months they have to operate on my fistula to open it up. Unfortunately they are not made to last this long.❤️ After treatments I am very sick and tired now. I was able to do testing and I've recently been accepted into both cleveland clinic and Hershey medical center's kidney transplant programs. Because of my time on dialysis we are very close to the top of the list. The tests for cleveland are finished and Hershey agreed to use those results. I am waiting on calls now! We are very excited to finally have a finish line in sight!! But after discussing options with the social worker about the recovery time and costs we ran into large concerns with our finances, while in recovery I will be out of my full time job, and no matter which hospital we go to we will need to stay in the area for a few months. Our goal would be to rent an apartment and spend 2 months near the hospital since the first 3 weeks involve visiting the doctors for appointments and blood work every other day. Then it tapers off to 3 times a week until it's only once a week then once a month. I am very committed to my job so I want to get back to work ASAP (I was able to work 5 hours after a leg amputation so I feel I can handle this pretty easy)
-All donations will go towards the cost of travel to and from doctors appointments.
-Medications not covered by insurance until I get back to work ❤️
-Rent for a place in which ever city we get the organ from.
-The cost of bills for our house while we are away and out of work.
(Because we decided renting a place near the hospital would be cheapest we plan to take our pets with us to avoid needing to pay boarding and stressing them out so we have removed that from our expense list.)

Thank you to those that have already donated and those that have shared our story, shares help us just as much to get the word out. Any assistance or prayers are appreciated as we do not know how soon the call may come and when it does we will need to put our plans into place on the way there.
