Nova is my 6-year-old Yorkshire terrier, and she means everything to me. She is cute, sassy, and such a big part of my life and daily happiness. Recently, Nova was diagnosed with a liver shunt, which the vet says is a genetic condition. Hearing that news was heartbreaking, and it has left me facing an overwhelming medical situation for someone I love so deeply. Her insurance will not cover genetic conditions, so I am now trying to find a way to get her the care she urgently needs on my own.
