Posey is only five days old, but in her short life she has already faced more than most ever should. This tiny Nubian goat came into the world with something clearly wrong with her leg after a difficult birth. Because of her condition, she was being considered for euthanasia. The breeder wanted to find someone who had the time, love, and dedication to try to help her instead of giving up on her.
When we heard about Posey, we knew we wanted to be that person for her. We stepped up and agreed to take this fragile little girl, determined to give her the chance at life she deserves. At the time, we didn’t know the full extent of her injury—we only knew that something wasn’t right with her leg. After bringing her home and getting her checked, we learned the heartbreaking truth: Posey’s femur is broken, an injury she likely suffered during birth.
Despite the pain she must be in, Posey is incredibly sweet and gentle. She still tries to nuzzle close for comfort and looks up with the most trusting eyes, as if she knows she’s finally safe. She’s such a tiny fighter, and all she needs now is the chance to heal.
Posey desperately needs surgery to repair her broken femur so she can stand, walk, and one day run and play like every baby goat should. The veterinary care for such a delicate procedure is costly, but we believe with all our hearts that this little girl deserves a second chance.
Any support, big or small, will go directly toward Posey’s veterinary bills and recovery. Thank you for helping us fight for this tiny life and giving Posey the future she almost didn’t have. 🐐💔❤️
