We are a family of 5, with 3 lovely daughters. We have been facing some hard times, that seems to be compounding more and more.
My husband and I both lost our main jobs that keep our household a float. I personally have been hospitalized for health reasons recently. While I seem to be getting better, the bills and mortgage doesn't stop building.
We find ourselves in a position that we have repairs from this last winters storms, back mortgage, back PGE, and less than adequate employment.
I do small, 1 person cleaning jobs around town, that includes businesses, but the clientele is dwindling slowly.
My husband is a professional Chef, with amazing skill to do caterings for moderate events as a one man band of sorts.
Our children are ages 20, 10, and 7. Our oldest just moved out for college, while we fight to keep our home. The 2 youngest children have loved this home most of their lives.
I can't figure out how to pay for roof repairs, back mortgage, and electrical issues which include a 1/3 the house without power.
I worry this may be too much to handle for us, except I refuse to stop trying. While we write this, we are prospecting jobs, loans, and other options. However we are currently try to stop the houses foreclosure, and maintain the home we all depend on for stability.
We also take care and house my disabled mother(grandma), my father(grandpa), and sister (auntie).
It is definitely a full house, but we find ourselves in a very tight and unique dilemma trying to finesse the financial obligations. We don't normally ask for help, but sometimes we have to do stuff we don't like, just to make sure our family is taken care of.
