Hey everyone, thank you first of all for any and all donations.🥹🫶
Gianna starts highschool this year and has joined her school, TimberCreek HS Colorguard team.
At first she wasn't sure if she wanted to do it, because it was hard. She was covered in bruises and her arms ached from the tryouts. I told her that practice makes perfect and she will get it down not to be so hard on herself. One evening after a practice/tryout she got in the car and looked at me and said "Mom, I want to do this. I can't quit now I told my coach I wouldn't." I was surprised by her new dedication to the team and told her I was excited for her to be part of the schools colorguard team.
This has meant undergoing sports physicals, an ECG and practice almost all summer for her, followed by an intensive 3 weeks of training camp! 2 weeks are from 8-4pm Mon through Friday and then the last week of camp is the week before school and has 3 days 8-4pm and 2 days that are 8-8pm! 😅 she has been putting in work!
Unfortunately I was unaware of the high costs associated with the program.😣 I anticipated uniform fees (which totaled around $150) and the medical fees for the physical and ECG (totaling $75), but I was not expecting the additional $750 in program fees - at least without a fundraiser or something along those lines.
So we are creating our own due to the program having a deadline that's is hard for us to reach for the unexpected dues.
Gianna is so dedicated to Colorguard and we appreciate and we are so grateful for any and all donations to help pay her fees! Anything helps! The dues have to be paid in full by September 6, 2022 although I did request an extension but have yet to hear back if that would be acceptable. Thank you 🫶
