Hi and thank you for reading our story! 🤍
Myself, my husband, and our daughter moved out the state we grew up in and where both of our families are for my husbands job, in January of 2022. Before this time, our daughter showed clear signs of autism and with the help of doctors and psychologists at the Colorado Center for Assessments, we got the diagnosis in December of 2022. This required us to both take weekly time off of work for Occupational Therapy for our daughter. Thankfully, I was blessed with a job that allowed me to leave when I needed to and at this time she was in preschool so we had full time child care when needed. Fast forward to the next year, our daughter started kindergarten and this quickly became a horrible experience with the school system getting her the accommodations needed in the classroom. This frustration along with my husbands job not being able to be as lenient with time, plus not having after school care or family around led us to the decision of moving back to our home state. We made the decision and traveled across country to move in with family. Our daughter is happier at school, we have more help with her from family and it was ultimately the best decision. During this time period 2022-2024, we were trying for a baby and were never able to conceive. We gave up all together, we believed it wasn’t the right time for us and accepted it. June of 2024, I found out I was pregnant and we were so excited and so was our family and friends. I had an ultrasound and saw our baby’s heartbeat. The next week, I began bleeding and knew something was wrong. My doctor could not see me, I had to go to the ER waited for 7 hours for them to ultimately say it’s fine and to schedule with my OB. I called my OB the next day, they were confused why the ER referred me for an appointment asap, but scheduled me in anyways. Two days later, we found out our baby did not have a heartbeat anymore. Our world shattered in a million pieces, our daughter who was so excited to be a big sister did not understand. I was scheduled for a D&C procedure on June 24,2024. As heartbreaking as it has been, we managed the best we can. It has taken a toll financially, with two ER visits, a surgery, and a follow up visit. We simply can not keep up and the minimum payments offered are $400 per month. We are constantly battling between trying again or possibly going through this again. We appreciate everyone who is willing to offer anything to us in this time. 🫶🏽🫶🏽
