Sanctuary Mixtape uses this truck as more than just a vehicle; it's been a lifeline here in Sacramento. Every week, it's my trusty companion as I pick up feed for our farm sanctuary to more than 30 animals, and during fire season, it's our only reliable way to aid in evacuation to other local sanctuary in northern California. But recently, it broke down, leaving us in a precarious situation just when we need it most.
Without the truck, our animals lack the timely supplies they need, and the looming threat of fire season feels even more daunting. Standing on our land, I can't ignore the anxiety that creeps in, knowing how vulnerable we are without our essential transport.
We're trying to gather $10,000 to get the truck back in working order. The urgency is palpable with fire season fast approaching. Each day that passes without the truck is a day filled with stress and uncertainty, not just for me, but for our animals and other sanctuaries we could support. Your support means everything to us, bringing peace of mind and security back into our lives.
