Mr. Oakley has been through so much in his lifetime and has bounced back stronger every single time.
Recently, Oakley suffered not one, but two torn ACLs (CCLs), leaving him unable to use his back legs. Despite this setback, he is strong and loving as always.
It all started when Oakley tore the ACL in his back left leg. We rushed him to the animal hospital, where they confirmed the injury. For a week, he bravely got around on three legs. On November 5, 2025, he saw a surgical specialist and was approved as a great candidate for CBLO surgery, scheduled for November 14, 2025.
This surgery involves placing a titanium plate and screws in his knee area and comes with a 7-week initial recovery, followed by 8–9 weeks of slow, careful rehabilitation. The cost for this first surgery is $6,000, which we’re incredibly grateful to have already covered.
Unfortunately, while assisting him outside, Oakley slipped — and in that one moment, tore the ACL in his other back leg. Now he’s completely dependent on us to carry and support him, as he can only walk on his front legs.
To help Oakley regain his mobility and comfort, we’re raising funds for:
• His second ACL surgery
• A wheelchair to support him during recovery
• Hydrotherapy and rehabilitation costs
• Travel expenses for frequent vet and therapy visits
Oakley’s fight is our fight, and we won’t stop until he’s back on his paws. Any amount, big or small, will go directly toward helping him heal, move again, and live the happy, active life he deserves.
Thank you for reading Oakley’s story and for any help you can give — whether it’s a donation or a share. ❤️
