Alice Olunga in Kenya, is working with other women to improve the economic situations in their lives and families. One of her current projects is raising chickens as on stream of income. She uses her money as additional support for her family's needs and as a participant in a system with her trusted women friends.
Every month the women gather, bring funds, share, and 'borrow' the amount of money they need to expand something in their life. Their own personal bank.
Alice has used this opportunity to teach and lift others with any extra monies she generates.
This fundraiser will help her do more lifting, more quickly.
It has been shown over and over again, when money moves into the hands of women, the entire community benefits. And, those in situations waiting to rise, know how best to use the help.
