Hello Family and Friends!
As a current Life Scout, I am in the final step of my scouting journey! This means leading and completing my Eagle Scout Service project, and I am looking for some financial assistance to purchase the much needed materials to complete the construction.
My project will consist of replacing an old, weathered bridge with a newly designed replacement bridge for the very popular and heavily traversed Erwin Park in the town of McKinney, here in Texas. The park not only offers a number of hiking trails, but is home to 11 miles of mountain biking paths that offer several levels of diverse trails and obstacle courses. At each level of my project, I will be working closely with DORBA (Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association), to ensure the final product delivers on the design, look and safety criteria outlined by the association.
The bridge itself will be a 12 foot bridge covering a gulley carved out by seasonal rains.
