Hello, I am senior citizen. I am employed, and on my own, with no children or significant other, and I have spent decades working two jobs to make ends meet. I have worked as a counselor, for those suffering with addiction for the last three decades. I have tried to serve to the best of my ability, and I strive with my "old school" work ethic, to give my best effort every single day, I wake up before 4:00 am, and have done so for 30 years to serve the people in my community. I just want a vacation.I have been on exactly two in my adult years. I have gotten away for a long weekend, but I mostly take my food and go at off-season times. I would love to have one really nice vacation, where I don't have to worry about, money, food,tolls, etc. I realize there are people far worse off than myself, additionally, I realize this not a necessity. When you are in a helping profession the money just isn't there. It is very difficult to for me to be the on the side of asking for assistance. Deep in my soul I believe I deserve it....
I have served your sons and your daughters, your grandchildren, and sometimes, multiple generations in your family over the last three decades. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE ONE NICE VACATION.
