Recently my daughter and son-in-law moved back to Texas from Florida to be closer to us for the birth of their first baby. Two weeks after moving, Tyler was admitted into the hospital to have a tumor removed from his cervical spine. He had no idea a tumor was wrapped around his spine. He didn't have any symptoms until about a week before when his hands began to feel numb and then he lost complete feeling in his left arm. He was given emergency surgery to remove the tumor and when the pathology report came back they told us it was cancer. He's been diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma which is a rare form of cancer that grows around the bone. Never in a million years did he ever think he would have cancer. This time has been extremely difficult for both him and Victoria. They have a baby due any day now and neither of them have jobs. Tyler was in the process of being hired at a company the same week he had his surgery. Unfortunately, he will not be able to work for a while. With no income or insurance to pay for medical bills, we are asking for help. Fortunately, Tyler has been approved for a self pay discount at Parkland hospital, but they will still need help to pay for their portion of the bills. Tyler will be receiving chemo and radiation treatments for the next several months so expenses are going to be high.
