Bobby and I have been struggling for the past 7 months, and I am asking for help with our rent. Bobby broke his hip in April 2025 and then cracked his pelvis in February 2026. Because of these injuries, he has been out of work, and things have gotten harder and harder for us financially.
On top of that, Bobby has been in the hospital twice in the past month because of weakness in his legs and trouble getting up. He also has arthritis up and down his spine and stage 1 congestive heart failure. Right now, Bobby can barely get around with a walker, and for longer distances he has to use a wheelchair.
I have been doing Amazon Flex almost every morning, usually starting between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m., before going to my full-time job at 9:00 a.m. My daughter Adrianna helps out a lot, and together we have been doing everything we can to stay afloat. We are managing to keep up with our current bills, but I just cannot catch up on the back rent.
I am asking for help to pay July's rent of $1,762.95. Bobby applied for disability and was turned down, and he recently reapplied, but that process takes time. I hate asking for help, but I have had to put my pride aside because I do not know what else to do right now.
