Siri's mother Wilai Mekkunthod was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor two weeks ago. Since then, Siri has flown to Thailand to help take care of her mother and father. She was able to take her home and buy a hopsital bed so that she doesn't need to stay in the governement hospital, which is not a good place for an extended visit. Our family is trying to help raise funds for her mother's overall health needs, comfort, and to help Siri with her bills at home.
Anyone who knows my wife Siri, knows that she is a very loving and compasionate person. You also know that she is very strong willed and would never ask for help. That said, I am compelled to help her, her mother and father get through this difficult moment in time. The more time Siri is able to stay in Thailand and love on her mother the better for all of them. Saying goodbye is never easy.
