Friends of Kelsey and Andrew Kiepe,
As you may have heard, Kelsey is beginning chemo this Thursday for cancer that has become more aggressive than initially anticipated.
For those that know them, you understand how they will NEVER ask for help from anyone, but will ALWAYS be the first to help others in need. That’s just the kind of couple they are.
Per mine and Andrew’s conversations, it seems their insurance will be assisting for the most part with medical necessities. However, Andrew said Kelsey continues to bring up what is referred to as a Cold Cap treatment. It is not considered a medical necessity, so it will not be covered by insurance.
The Cold Cap treatments prevent hair loss as much as possible throughout the chemo rounds. I know this treatment specifically is very important to Kelsey and I want to make sure it is never a stressor financially for them.
The Cold Cap is around $2,000, but ideally I would like to far exceed that estimate. If you cannot donate at this time, that is absolutely okay, but please share with others who may be able to do so (just not on social media, please). Ideally, I would like to have funds raised by Friday, November 18th.
