A Personal Plea from My Heart
As I sit down to write to you, I'm filled with a mix of emotions - hope, gratitude, and a hint of vulnerability. My name is Anna Boulier, and I'm writing to share my story in hopes you'll consider supporting me on a life-changing journey.
Living with severe gluten sensitivity due to celiac disease has turned everyday moments into daunting challenges. Simple pleasures, like sharing a meal with loved ones or attending church, are constantly threatened by the fear of accidental gluten exposure. The consequences are not just inconvenient; they're debilitating - migraines, isolation, and a life lived in growing isolation.
But There's Hope - Meet Barley!
I've discovered a beacon of hope in the form of a specialized gluten-detection dog, a white Labrador puppy named Barley. With his expert training set to begin in January, Barley will be my guardian, detecting trace amounts of gluten in food, products, and environments. Imagine the freedom to live without fear - that's what Barley represents to me.
The Path to Freedom Comes with a Cost
Barley's 18-month training program, similar to that of service dogs for diabetes and seizures, requires a significant investment of $50,000. I humbly ask for your support. Regardless of size, your donation will bring me closer to a life of independence, health, and unbridled joy.
Your Impact, in Tangible Terms:
- $25: Supports one week of Barley's specialized food and nutrition
- $100: Helps to cover the cost of essential training equipment
- $500: Helps fund a week of intensive socialization training for Barley
Will You Help Me Bring Barley Home?
A Heartfelt Thank You In advance, I express my deepest gratitude for your kindness, trust, and generosity. Your support will be the foundation upon which I rebuild my life, free from the shadows of gluten fear. Let's bring Barley home and unlock a brighter, healthier me together.
With Love and Thanks,
Anna Boulier
