I have some really exciting news! I was recently selected as one of only 25-32 students from across all the TTUHSC sites to take part in a global health program. This July, I’ll be traveling to Piura, Peru, to provide medical care in rural, underserved communities.
My Mission
Nursing has always felt like a calling from God for me. I’ve been working toward this since I started as a CNA in 2015 and later as an EMT. Those years in hospitals and nursing homes taught me that nursing is about compassion and meeting people right where they are.
I’ll be working with Olive Branch Ministries to provide primary care, dental services, and health education to families who rarely have access to a doctor. After traveling through nine countries in 2022, I’m ready to take everything I’ve learned and help the community in Piura.
How You Can Help The total cost for this program is $5,000. This covers my international and domestic airfare, program fees, clinical supplies, and lodging.
I am heading to Peru to serve with humility and provide the best care I can. Any amount you can give helps me live out this calling and make a real impact on the ground. Thank you so much for being part of my journey!
