Kevin is a 48 year old guy who has had a lifetime of health issues. At 19 years of age, he was diagnosed with leukemia and underwent a bone marrow transplant. Back then, DNA technology was in its infancy. The donor wasn't an ideal match and his body rejected the new bone marrow, resulting in a lot of painful complications, yet he continued working as a roofer for 20+ years.
During these years, he had more bad luck. He had a bicycle accident in 2005 that resulted in a displaced shoulder and a closed head injury. This brain injury left him with chronic seizures. In 2018 he had a stroke that left him partially paralyzed. These injuries left him unable to continue working and he was forced to go onto disability.
On August 12, 2023, he was in a terrible accident. A propane tank exploded leaving him with 3 degree plus burns on 24 percent of his body. 3 degree plus means that the burns went through all three layers of his skin, into his muscles and tendons. He spent 7 weeks in the ICU unit at the University of Colorado Burn Center in Aurora, Colorado.
Unfortunately, Kevin's chronic health issues have led to major dental problems and he needs a number of fillings, root canals and crowns. His insurance covers only $2,100 of the $35,900 expenses.
Through the years, Kevin and his family have managed to pay most of what wasn't covered by the insurance, but they need help with this expense.
Kevin is a Christain. He knows that God has a purpose for his life. He is a kind, loving father of one son, and grandfather of two. He is always smiling and remains hopeful and optimistic that he will overcome this latest setback, but he needs your help.
