**Cost breakdown at the end**
Bandit is a 13 week old blue nose pit bull, born November 12, 2024. In December 2024, I was struggling mentally and emotionally and was at the verge of ending it all. With the help and support of close friends, I made it through a period of getting well, but still lacked a special something to keep my days going. By the grace of G-d, just two days after discussing with friends that having a dog in my life again would be so greatly beneficial for my mental health, I was introduced to Bandit. It was a sign from G-d that we were meant to be together. I immediately adopted him and brought him home and have given him the best life I could possibly imagine for him, filled with love, compassion, care, and smiles - all things he returns right back to me. Every morning, Bandit has been my saving grace. I would truly be lost without him. He is my everything, my world, my son.
Bandit loves everyone he comes into contact with, including babies and other dogs. He’s a playful little boy who loves to give kisses, loves to be held, and loves to be the little spoon in bed. He’s a smart little guy who is already doing so well with his training and enjoys learning more commands and tricks. He has many aunties and uncles who love him dearly and who he also means the world to. He is the sweetest puppy.
At the end of January, Bandit started acting strange, losing his appetite and vomiting. After multiple vet visits, lots of money, and loads of tests, it was discovered that Bandit was born with a congenital portosystemic shunt (a blood vessel bypasses the liver, causing a buildup of toxins).
Temporary possible solutions have been offered and are being taken, however, none of what we are currently doing for him is a permanent fix for the problem. Bandit will be requiring hospitalization and surgery, as well as medication and special diet. Without taking this measure, the only remaining option is humane euthanasia at only 13 weeks old.
Like I said, Bandit is my everything. He is my reason to get up in the morning, my best friend, my confidant, my baby, the love of my life. It would destroy me and everyone who knows him to not be able to do absolutely everything in our power to help him get better and save his life so that we can continue living happily together.
I beg everyone and anyone to please help raise money for Bandit so that he can get the help he needs and so very much deserves, and so that he can live a beautiful full life. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Any amount is truly appreciated.
