Earlier this week, I had a stroke that turned my world upside down. Living in Indianapolis, I’ve always prided myself on being self-sufficient, but this unexpected health crisis has left me unable to work. While I focus on my recovery, which includes rehab and therapy, I’m faced with the daunting challenge of keeping up with bills and rent. The thought of losing my home during this vulnerable time adds to the stress and hampers my path to healing.
