On June 23 I was diagnosed with head and neck cancer. On August 29th I had to go to a hospital 2.5 hours away from home and I had to undergo a 12 hour surgery which included removing my right jaw and replacing it with bone from my leg.  Also removing 8 lymph nodes. After a week in the ICU I was released. 4 days later I was taken back to the ICU again 2.5 hours away for an infection in my neck. They had to perform surgery again and kept me for a week in the ICU.
Yesterday I started Chemo and Radiation. I have to do that for 6-7 weeks. My wife and I both tend to be too proud to ask for help, but as bills are starting to trickle in at the same time as raising two kids (9 and 10).. The financial burden is unbelievable and we have made the hard decision to seek help from anyone who can.
our community knows our family and we hope without causing burdens on others that we can get even a little help while living this cancer journey.

I have reached my 17th radiation/chemo treatment. The side affects are not fun and two months since my cancer surgery and things are definitely getting tough trying to take care of my family. But my wife, 2 kids and I are strong and pulling through this together. I know this fundraiser was a long shot but will keep it going a bit longer in hopes to get some of our medical bills/ gas for going to cancer treatments a little better than they are.
thank you to those who donate and help us out. Cancer really sucks the life out of your life. It doesn’t just affect the body. It affects your lifestyle, your family etc.

William was born and raised in this community and has mowed/plowed/cooked for most generations who have lived in Canton. William knew and knows everyone and always was/is there to help when people called him.
William spent 10 years hosting fishing camps for our local kids and never charged a dime or asked for. Help. Now after all this time and with hesitation to be outside his box, He is asking for the communities help back.
