Hello, my name is John. I'm a single father of 3 amazing children: a 13-year-old daughter and twin 11-year-old boys. I have been laid off for the past 3 months and struggling to get by with just my unemployment check. I have applied for EBT to at least get some help with food, but did not meet the cutoff, made $80 over.
I am not looking for petty or free handouts. I'm willing to work and once I get back employed, willing to pay back in time. We were getting some help with local food banks, but my car will not run and we are not within 20 miles of any agency or store.
