Jade is my 7 year old Boxer Akita mix. I’ve had her since she was a puppy. This sweet girl came into my life while I was in the midst of a very deep depression with thoughts of suicide. My mom had an accidental litter of puppies from a neighbor’s dog getting into their yard. I’d thought about getting a dog for years and thought it would give me a reason to get out of bed every day. When I went to pick out my puppy, the one I wanted ran further back into the pen where we couldn’t reach him. But my sweet Jade ran straight into my arms and I knew we were meant to be. Her silliness and unconditional love have always gotten me through my lowest of lows. Now it’s my turn to get her through hers. On 10/7, I rushed Jade to the vet because she had a tennis ball sized lump in her neck. I thought she was just having bad allergies. The vet diagnosed her with stage 3 lymphoma. She has her oncology consultation on 10/26 (praying I can get her in sooner because I’m terrified things will take a turn for the worse before then). I’m going to do everything I can to get her the best medical care possible to get her through this. I’m going outside my comfort zone and asking for your help in raising funds to cover the costs of her treatment. Any amount would be a blessing.
