There was a time when Jose Rose K. Juan was living the dream.
As a hardworking mechanic, he spent his days fixing cars, earning an honest living, and enjoying the freedom that comes with having a little extra money in his pocket. Life was good. The future was bright. The world was full of possibilities.
Then he met the love of his life.
What started as a beautiful love story soon led to a wonderful marriage and the blessing of three amazing sons. Three healthy, energetic, wonderful little boys who brought joy, purpose, laughter... and the complete destruction of Jose's disposable income.
Today, Jose's life looks very different.
The man who once dreamed about weekend getaways now dreams about finding matching socks. The man who once bought parts for project cars now buys snacks in bulk. The man who once had savings now has three growing boys who somehow consume food at a rate normally associated with professional athletes.
His beloved white 1995 Honda Civic hatchback with a broken Spoon Sports setup stands as a symbol of a simpler time—a time before youth sports, school events, birthday parties, and the mysterious financial black hole known as "family expenses."
When Jose received an invitation to celebrate one of his best friend's bachelor party in Miami, he knew he had to be there.
Against all odds, through sacrifice, determination, and possibly selling a few unused car parts, Jose secured a plane ticket.
But the battle is only half won.
While Jose can physically arrive in Miami, he currently possesses approximately enough spending money for one airport bottle of water and perhaps half of an appetizer.
We believe Jose deserves more.
We believe a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend, and former financially stable mechanic should have the opportunity to enjoy a few unforgettable memories with his closest friends before returning home to his regularly scheduled dad duties.
