Late September Herbbie was the victim of a horrific hate crime and armed robbery that left him with multiple gunshot wounds, and a long road to recovery. Thank God he survived this awful crime that was intended to take his life. We are so thankful to the medical staff that carefully performed multiple surgeries that saved his life. Four gunshot wounds penetrated his body and nearly hit critical life ending tissues and organs. He survived the unthinkable.
This senseless act of violence has not only caused immense physical trauma but has also deeply affected his emotional and financial well-being. It is absolutely devastating and heart breaking, but we are thankful that Herbbie is still with us.
Herbbie is still fighting and undergoing intensive medical treatment, including surgeries, rehabilitation, and therapy. The recovery process is expected to be long (a year minimum) and challenging, and he’s unable to work during this time. He is facing bills and living costs that are becoming difficult to manage.
