Sydney & Damien

Great news!
Elf is back home and recovering. He was brought home on Sunday Evening.
Though his first night back and into the next day he was really loopy and weak, he is back to his normal self today, despite his goofy new haircut. :)
(Hard to tell from the photo, but he has rings shaved around his front legs and the base of his tail)
I've been keeping a close eye on him around the clock as he is still at a 50% risk of another obstruction 2-3 days after the procedure.
I am bringing him in to the regular vet today for a follow-up check-up and to make sure things are going well.
I just want to share that Damien and I are completely blown away and overwhelmed by all the positive support, donations, and love flowing our way in support of Elf.
I feel like Gorge Bailey right now with how many friends are by our side at this time of need. I bawled the first day I checked how many donations we had received after the first 24 hours.
We CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH for all of your support!
I have been spending my free time looking into all the additional assistance that may help covering the costs at the moment, because it seems there may be programs that will help with grants due to my unemployment situation.
I will keep you all updated in what we find out.
Until then, thank you again and again from the bottom of our hearts.
We are already at nearly 30% of having this covered and that alone makes a world of difference.
Thank you,
Sydney and Damien
