The first-ever Heritage Heals Community Fridge is officially in the works — and we need your help to bring it to life!
Located outside Frannie’s Vegan Café in Johnson City, this fridge will be a free, accessible space where anyone in need can grab food, drinks, and fresh produce — no questions asked.
💛 Why this matters:
With SNAP benefits still cut, so many families in our community are struggling to make ends meet. Mothers are skipping meals so their kids can eat. Elders are stretching every dollar. And yet, when our government systems fail us — we take care of us.
This fridge is about more than food. It’s about dignity, access, and love in action.
It’s a promise that no one in our community will go hungry if we can help it.
✨ What we’re raising funds for:
-
A working fridge (new or gently used)
-
Food, drinks, and produce to stock it
-
Signage and supplies for setup
-
Cleaning and maintenance materials
-
Electric support for Frannie’s Vegan Café
This project is community-run, not government-funded.
Every dollar goes directly toward building and sustaining the fridge — nothing else.
By donating, you’re helping create something that will feed families, students, and unhoused neighbors right here in Johnson City.
This is what care as culture looks like.
This is what “heritage heals” truly means. 🌿
