Help Me Through Medical Leave and an Unexpected Financial Hardship
Right now I’m facing a situation that I can’t manage on my own.
I am currently on medical leave while dealing with serious medical issues ( Epilepsy & Pre Diabetes) and preparing for a stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) procedure that my doctors have recommended. This procedure requires specialized brain monitoring and hospitalization to help my medical team determine where my seizures are coming from and what treatment options may be available.
At the same time, my health situation has created a major financial hardship. Being on medical leave has significantly reduced my income, while my normal expenses and medical costs continue. I recently discovered that my health insurance had ended without me realizing it, and my attempt to obtain coverage was denied. Losing my insurance unexpectedly, and facing major medical expenses has left me struggling to keep up with everything.
I’m starting this fundraiser to help cover my essential living costs while I’m on medical leave and going through this process. Donations will help with things such as SEEG aftercare & recovery, transportation to appointments, household expenses, and other necessities while I work toward getting healthy enough to return to work.
I’m doing everything I can to find assistance, work with my medical providers, and get through this without putting an overwhelming financial burden on the people around me. But right now, I need some help.
