My name is Senethia Ingram. I am an educator with over 14 years of classroom experience. I've been blessed to teach in a very diverse and unique district. I have also had several opportunities to facilitate professional development sessions, attend meetings on the local and state level, and teach within the charter school system. It has been my experience that in education, behavior matters. A lack of structure and discipline in the classroom is one of the leading causes of student discourse. When a classroom is structured, and the environment is not void of discipline, students are more likely to thrive and succeed. With that being said, I would like to ask for your help. I am currently anticipating joining an outstanding group of fellow educators on the disciplinary side of education. This endeavor will require me to attend a week long training session. The training session costs $675.00. To some, this amount isn't much, but to me it is. Along with personal financial obligations, I also have to provide supplies for my students and myself, all while supporting my own child who is a freshman in college. This opportunity will not only put me in a position to assist others, it will also substantially benefit my livlihood. In turn, I will be able to do more for others in need. I am asking that you assist me with whatever is placed on your heart to give. Your good deeds will not stop with me. I promise to pay it forward.
