I'm moving across the world for missions !
Never was this something I expected to do. In March I was one of the leaders on a trip to Italy where we worked with YWAM cultivate and the Lord redirected my calling. YWAM is a Christian missions organization that has bases all over the world dedicated to teaching and training believers for ministry. When one of the leaders there found out that I was taking a gap year after college, he challenged me to fill out an application. He open my eyes to their global health missions programs, and I knew that was what the Lord was preparing me for.
Long story short, I'm going to be a part of one of those programs. In July I will be moving to Townsville, Australia for five months. During that time, I will go through a discipleship training program that will better equip me spiritually and practically. After that will be the outreach phase, most likely in Papua New Guinea, where I will be a part of a team doing medical missions to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of under resourced areas. I am so beyond excited for this opportunity and so humbled that the Lord would call me to something so amazing. But I also know that I am fully incapable and not financially in the place to do this. So that is why I'm asking for help ! I need about $10,000 USD to go. I will continue to work my butt off, but also trust that the Lord will use His people to help provide both financially and through prayer. Anything that you feel called and willing to give is so deeply appreciated. Finances feel like a burden but they will not be a hindrance to my obedience, so I'm thankful for anyone who is willing to take part, even if it's a few dollars at a time. I am also so thankful for the prayers and intercession of His people over our world and the mission field that we will be walking into. I have no idea what to expect or how the Lord is going to use me, but I'm thankful that I'm surrounded by people who will pray for me and with me as I step into this new and exciting season :)
