Join 137 Pillars Hotels & Resorts to Feed the Elephants – Donate Today

GOAL : USD $50,000
It costs $3000 per day to feed the 110 rescued elephants at the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai. You donation will make a real and meaningful difference.
August 12th marks World Elephant Day and the start of a special and meaningful partnership between 137 Pillars Hotels and Resorts and Elephant Nature Park (ENP), a rescue and rehabilitation sanctuary in Chiang Mai. Founded by Khun Lek in 1996, ENP provides a home for endangered elephants and abandoned animals, is actively involved in rain forest restoration and assisting villagers in sustaining their distinct culture.
137 Pillars House Chiang Mai once served as headquarters for the Borneo Company who logged teak in Northen Thailand using elephants. While today both deforestation and using elephants in this manner are deeply inappropriate, sadly at the time this was not only acceptable but welcomed in the name of progress. It is therefore hugely appropriate for us to be raising funds and global awareness of the need to rescue and protect these magnificent animals as well as to be involved in reforestation of this area by offering our guests an option to donate to ENP on check-in with either a nominal amount of TBH 100, 300 or 700 per night as they choose or a larger one-off donation if they prefer. 90% of donations will go to elephant conservation and 10% to reforestation.
Donations raised via this campaign will be distributed directly to Elephant Nature Park via Save Elephant Foundation.

In celebration of World Elephant Day on 12 August, 137 Pillars Hotels & Resorts will donate USD 1 from every suite stay at both our Chiang Mai and Bangkok properties throughout August to support Elephant Nature Park, a rescue and rehabilitation sanctuary in Chiang Mai.
