Hi, my name is Cindy, and I’m reaching out for help for my sister, Rose Doney, who means everything to me, our family, and her friends.
On September 25th, Rose’s life changed in an instant. She was in a horrific car accident that left her with a severe spinal cord injury, paralyzed from the neck down with only limited movement in her arms and hands. She also suffered a broken wrist. This unimaginable event has turned our world upside down.
Rose has always been full of life. She loves walking on the beach, hiking through nature, and simply enjoying the beauty of the world around her. She’s fiercely independent, loves her job, and is happiest when she’s surrounded by her family and her cat curled up in her lap. Now, instead of enjoying her freedom, Rose spends her days in a rehabilitation center, working tirelessly to adapt to her new way of living.
From the day of the accident, I have been by Rose’s side. I’ve seen her fight with every ounce of strength she has. I’ve watched her smile through small victories and shed tears on days that feel impossible. It breaks my heart to see her struggle, but I’m in awe of her determination. Rose is a fighter, and she’s not giving up.
On November 12th, we hope Rose will be moved to a nursing home because her home isn’t accessible for her needs, and she requires 24-hour care. While she works toward independence, the expenses keep piling up. Her health insurance through her employer ends in December, and the financial burden is more than we can manage alone.
Rose is so much more than this accident. She’s a mother, sister, friend, and the heart of our family. She’s shown me how to appreciate the little things, like seeing her smile over a homemade shepherd’s pie. I want to make sure she has every chance to adapt to this new reality with as much comfort and dignity as possible. Your support can help make that happen.
We are focusing on Rose’s immediate needs to help her move forward as smoothly as possible. These include:
- $7,500 car loan balance – This must be paid off as the insurance coverage is not enough to clear the loan.
- $12,000 ambulance fees – The cost of emergency medical transport adds to the financial strain.
- Additional buffer – To account for any immediate, unforeseen expenses that may arise during this crucial time.
Your contribution will help cover these immediate costs, providing Rose with much-needed stability and relieving some of the financial burden on our family. Every donation counts, bringing us closer to ensuring Rose has the resources she needs to continue her fight and adapt to her new reality with hope and dignity.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of this journey. Your kindness will help us give Rose a chance to reclaim her life, one step at a time. Please consider sharing this campaign with friends and family to help spread the word and support Rose during this life-changing time.
