There is a gas station near where I work. I stopped there the first time at the beginning of the year. It was early in the morning and I was not really ready for socializing but I was met at the counter by an elderly woman who chatted with me while she rang me up for my drinks and junk food. I found myself walking out of the store with a smile on my face and I felt lighter. I kept going back every morning before work and she’s usually there, I noticed that she had the same affect on everyone and knew many of them by name laughing and sharing so much happiness. I started looking forward to seeing her, talking with her and starting my day with a smile. One day I went in and it wasn’t her. Another lady rang me up for my stuff and I had to ask who the other lady was she instantly started smiling and said yeah “That’s our Miss Susie” I told her she always makes me smile. I’ve had many mornings there and now have gotten to know her in a way but she doesn’t know how much it meant to me when I was very down and finding it hard to smile that she was always able to make me feel joy by such a simple sweet interaction each morning. Very long story short I want to repay her for the joy she gives to all the people who come in including me, I just kept feeling like I wish I could give her something back. I would gift her money myself but I don’t even have $100 in my account to give her and if I did I would give it all to her. I plan on gifting her whatever I can but wouldn’t it be great to bless someone like her with even more! A gift that will actually make a difference in her life like she does daily on ours! This is why I decided to try a fund raiser I don’t even know her full name but I can’t wait to give her something back. If you can donate even just a little it will help me be able to give a gift to someone who truly deserves it! It’s such a blessing to be able to give to others, I plan to weather I give her my only $80 I have or if I can add some more to it and make it even better. Thanks in advances for helping me!
