My name is Todd Thomas, and I am starting this GoFundMe to cover my family’s living expenses while I am in the hospital for the next two and a half months undergoing cancer treatment. As some background, I have been fighting a cancer called multiple myeloma for about fourteen years. Since I have been fighting it for so long, I am at the end of effectiveness for most approved treatments and have started experimental. Recently, I underwent a procedure known as CAR-T. It required me to be out of work for two months. The treatment had some good results, but unfortunately, my cancer re-asserted itself about a month ago and I will now have to leave work again for a different type of CAR-T treatment. I will be in the hospital for about two and a half months. Since the last treatment was only in December and the new one will start on July 10th, I haven’t had time to rebuild paid leave or my savings. My wife works but will be unable to make up for my portion of our income. Our goal is three thousand dollars, to pay bills while I am out.
