Hello All:

As you know, in light of recent events in Ukraine, many were forced to leave their homes and flee the country.

My family was looking for ways to help specific families who made it to Poland and are trying to settle in there or move to other countries from Poland to find thier new homes. It was important for us to make sure that resources are used to help specific individuals who left everything behind and left as is.  There are lots of women with children who are being hosted by Polish families for now but will need to establish themselves there, will need resources for housing, food, daycare, etc.

Many of you reached out asking how you can help. Everything we raise here will be sent to my contact in Poland and used to support specific families.

Appreciate your help in advance.

Hello friends,

Today marks 100 days of war in Ukraine.

In light of this sad anniversary,  we wanted to share some updates.

Majority of the funds you contributed went towards housing in Poland for those who fled Ukraine. After that, we had $900 left in the fund.

These funds have been sent to Ukrainian families in need. Last week, we sent $300 to a mom of 2 young boys to help with their basic needs (groceries, clothing, other essentials). The mom is visually impaired and is limited in her ability to work. She was very grateful, and she even cried as a result of this touching gesture.

At this point, we are closing this fund. However please remember that the war still continues, with no end in sight: there are a lot of displaced people, impacted families, loss of income for many.

Please consider donating to various resources that you trust. Thank you for your support, Glory to Ukraine!

Friends and Colleagues,

Your continued support really makes a difference! We recently wired (second wire since we started this fundraising) over $11,000 to Poland to pay for housing for a number of families who continue fleeing Ukraine. But one story really stands out- it is the story of Katya from Donetsk region. She already had to flee the Russian aggression once in 2014. This time she had to leave the country with her 5 children with another one on the way. As one can imagine, finding a place to stay with 6 children is not easy. Our contact in Poland had to help this family find a single family house to accommodate them. The funds you all raised helped this family pay for housing.  Katya's husband was able to leave Ukraine as well and already found a construction job but it will take a month for him to get paid. Meanwhile, our fund is helping this family  get established in the new surroundings during these difficult times.  Please continue sharing with your networks and thank you for generous support!

A little update to the campaign.
As you know, we used most of the funds collected initially to help a number of families with accommodation in Poland.

Yesterday, we came across a story of Ukrainian refugee, Alina, who had to flee Ukraine with her 3 year old handicapped son.
He cannot walk or stand on his own. She had to carry him for 4 days to cross the border.
They are now in need of continuous rehabilitation and she doesn't have a source of income. We used part of the money we raised to help her.

Please keep sharing the link, there are many stories like this, and we continue to provide the support we can.

Hello all, here is today's update:

1) $17,662 from your donations was wired to Poland today, and will be used for 1 month housing for 40 families

2) we continue raising funds as needs are endless- more women with children are arriving daily after they spend days on the road, and will need housing and other support for their essential needs

3) people who had to flee their homes arrive to Poland in shock, and need mental, emotional and physical support; Our contact in Poland is involving therapists to help children and mothers deal with this stress.

As we raise more funds- they will be wired right away to continue our efforts to help families. Thank you for your help- it is invaluable!

Hello friends and colleagues;
Thank you for your continued support and generosity! I have a list of 40 families (women with children), with names. These families will be accommodated in an apartment building (dorm-type of accommodation) in Poland, in Katowice. The funds you donated will be used to pay for this housing for 1 month and help these 40 families become self-sufficient in Poland. We will be wiring the funds to Poland this week and expect it will take 3 days for funds to be available in Poland.
Once again- your help is critical in helping these refuges rebuild their lives. Thank you for your big hearts!
