My name is TJ, however, you may know me as Dweeb. I’m 23 and I use she/they pronouns.
In the beginning of July, I lost my job. Since then, I have been applying to dozens of jobs a day with very little luck (outside of those fun scams) in response; I've applied for things such as unemployment and food stamps as well and haven't had any luck getting a response, even though I am making my claims and calling every week. I am trans non-binary and I live in a state that is not exactly known for being incredibly inclusive. Additionally, I don’t own a car and I don’t even have a driver’s license which is even further limiting my options for work. I promise I am not jobless through lack of effort or desire, but even in 2022 finding work is a challenge. I don’t have family I can go to if I am evicted and I don't have a car to live in so if anything happens, I don’t know what I will do. We don't have any tenants rights where I live so trying to fight for my safety is increasingly difficult.
I am asking for $2,000 to help give me a little more time to find work and housing. My lease is almost up on my current place, so I'd spend the money on the last of my rent, finding new housing, groceries to eat, etc. I am committed to continuing my daily job search.
