One week left before I lose my job - $3,000. keeps me on the road. Hello, my name is Jami Boucher. I'm 53 years old, and i'm fighting every day to keep my life together. For years I have proudly worked full-time, showing up early, staying late, and doing whatever it takes to provide for myself. But right now I'm in real danger of loosing my job- because I no longer have a reliable way to get there.
I live 30 miles from work. Public transportation isn't an option, ride shares eat up half my paycheck, and my car finally died. My boss has been incredibly understanding, but I've already missed too many days. I've been warned: without transportation soon I'll be let go. I need $4,000. to buy a decent used car that will get me to work every day. Once I have it, I can breathe again, keep my job, and stay on my feet.
I have no family to turn to. No savings left after rent, groceries and medical bills. I'm willing to work off every dollar or make monthly payments to anyone kind enough to help. I will sign anything, provide paystubs, updates and photos-whatever makes you feel secure.
The $4,000 isn't just a car-it's my job. My independence. My dignity. It's the difference between making it or ending up on the street at 53 years old.
