I was able to get $2775.42 together and paid on 3/11. The total past due amount is now $4425.42. Anything helps!! I'm doing my best to get money together and get this taken care of on my own, not looking for handouts, just a hand UP! 🙏❤️
Hello all! My name is Stephanie. I am a single mother to a teenage boy. I have just recently returned back to work on 3/3 from having and recovering from a second major back surgery performed on 11/25/25. I was receiving short term disability benefits from my primary FT employer in the amount of $1,027 every two weeks after the 10 day elimination period. So.my income was literally cut by more than in half and I still had to keep up with all other bills. My regular monthly mortgage payment is $2213. So, as you can see, with how little short term disability paid, I wasn't even making enough to make the mortgage payment each month and also stay on top of all other bills. I did make some partial payments towards the mortgage. My mortgage company did allow me a 3 month forbearance, of which expired 2/28 and during that interview process, I'd advised them that I intended to still make SOME SORT of payments towards the mortgage and asked what happens at the end of the forbearance which the answer was "the total 3 months worth of payments would all be due at that time." I then asked, ok, well we've already established that i won't be making enough to cover that so will there be a possibility of doing a deferral to tack to the end of the loan? The answer I received back then was that there would be other options to look into to bring the mortgage current. Fast forward to today, the $6639 is past due and if not paid by 3/15 I Will begin incurring late fees and penalties as well as negative impacts to my credit score. I did exactly as they told me in the beginning and called the 1st week of Feb to find out those "other options to bring current" got told to call again the following week, and then again the same that following week. Finally on Feb 20th they "re-did" yet another FORBEARANCE interview of which can take 30 days to receive an answer!! I am riddled with panic and anxiety bc as a single mom, I have worked very hard to even achieve home ownership and take great pride in that and HATE asking for ANY help, but I'm now in panic mode bc my lender misled me.
If you are in any way able to contribute and help me out in this sticky situation, I will be forever indebted and appreciate it🙏 ❤️ if nothing else, I do also believe prayers and sharing also go a long way!
