I have recently been informed that I’ve received donations of paid time off through employees at my place of employment!!!! Anything that I have received or will recive on this platform will be helping with the 3 weeks of pay I will not recive. One week is from missing my last week of work from being in severe pain and 2 weeks is considered off contract (no pay). I know I’m putting a lot on here just want to be as transparent as possible ********
I’m a single mom with three kids. We had to flee from there father about 2 years ago for safety reason and started over in a new state. It’s been a rocky road but I’ve been able to make it work with the help of my wonderful community.
I have an endometriosis and PCOS I’ve been blessed to have my beautiful babies and make it this far with my unbearable diagnosis. Life has thrown a curve ball and recently my endometriosis has been causing havoc and I am needing to have a Hysterectomy. They also found precancerous cell so I’m thankful we are finding it early and just getting everything taken out.
My surgery is scheduled for 12/23/2025. I planned for this date because it works best with my work being closed and school being closed. I think it will make it easier to recovery just being home together and not worry about getting them to school everyday.
I’m an 11month contract employee and will be unpaid for about 3 weeks starting 12/22/2025-1/8/2026 then I can use some sick leave to go towards my time off.
As of now I have no sick leave accumulated due to constantly having to take time off of work when in severe pain, needing to go to appointments for the kids. All my kids receive OT and speech due to learning disabilities so appointment are non stop.
i’m hoping to raise money for myself and my children to help us keep our head above waters and be able to keep my bills paid untill I can go back to work around 2/2026 when I have full clearance to work.
I also door dash to help make end meet and plan to start doing that as soon as I’m allowed to drive.
I it’s early and surgery is not till December, but i know im going to need the help. I hate asking for help, I just feel I have no where else to turn. I have FMLA to keep my position but there is no pay with that.
