This is a medical fundraiser for Saleh Jouda who lives in Gaza City. His prior fundraiser was accidentally deleted. In February 2024, Saleh as injured in a targeted strike while he, his brother, and 2 others were returning from looking for food. Tragically, his little brother, who was 16, and one of the other people with them were killed.
Saleh was badly injured in his legs, losing his ability to walk. He was able to get some surgery in Gaza, but he will need further surgery outside of Gaza. During the genocide, and following his surgeries, Saleh through his strength and determination, regained his ability to walk.
Saleh and his family never left Gaza City and have endured an immense amount of hardship, loss, starvation, and suffering. They are currently without food and water. They demand their basic rights as human beings and ask that the world stand in solidarity with them and demand the freedom of Palestine.
I, Elizabeth, met Saleh through Instagram in December 2024, and have ran his fundraiser since his injury. I will be updating this frequently to get back to the point where it was prior to being deleted. There is a strong possibility that the border in Rafah will open soon and Saleh hopes to be able to travel to continue receiving surgery and treatment for the leg injuries he received almost 2 years ago, which have constantly gotten infected, caused nerve damage and constant pain. In order to do so, he will most likely have to pay to leave, and then pay for his own surgeries. We are currently looking for an organization to sponsor him, but there are not many doing this work. However, even if we can find an organization to help him, he will still need money to live on. Please continue to donate to and share Saleh’s campaign. Thank you!
